Is your church looking for new resources for your next Vacation Bible School? Maybe  you are researching new curriculum resources, free Vacation Bible School training for your  children’s workers, or maybe your church finds itself needing help teaching this year’s  Vacation Bible School. Regardless of what your specific Children’s Ministry need is, we  want you to know that we are here to help!

If you’ve taught VBS before you know that you have limited time (sometimes 5 days  or less) to reach the children attending with the Good News of Jesus. This is one reason why Child Evangelism Fellowship® of Montana (CEF™ of Montana) believes that Vacation  Bible School is an important foundational ministry in the lives of Children. Our VBS  program is FREE for churches in Montana.

CEF of Montana’s VBS program is a three-day high octane evangelistic outreach  event that includes dynamic games, many fun songs with motions, exciting time of  memorizing scripture, a relatable evangelistic Bible lesson, a moving missionary story, and  an educational entertaining review game!

Our evangelistic VBS program is customizable to the needs of your church. We offer  you the option to hold your VBS at one or multiple locations in your community during the  time frame that meets your church and community’s needs. We also recommend adding  an optional craft time to your VBS to extend the length of the event. Craft time is the  responsibility of your church’s volunteers to plan and execute during the VBS. If planning a  craft time seems overwhelming, CEF of Montana has a free list of recommended craft  projects, that correspond with the lessons being taught, to help you plan and prepare.

We are passionate about seeing Children’s Ministry Programs create lifelong  relationships between the members of your church and the families of the children who  attend the Vacation Bible School. We foster these discipleship relationships by ending  each VBS with an energizing RALLY where the families of those who attended the VBS and  your church members come together to wrap up the VBS and celebrate what was learned.

To put on this VBS program, CEF of Montana brings a team of approximately 1 adult  leader & 2-4 teens to work in partnership with your church volunteers to help teach the  VBS. These teens volunteer to travel across Montana in the summer months putting on this  VBS ministry and are thoroughly training by CEF staff and volunteers in early June as a part  of a ministry we call Christian Youth in Action®.

In addition to providing a team to help teach the VBS, CEF of Montana also provides  free resources to help you plan for your VBS. A CEF staff person will be assigned to your  church to help you plan out the details of your VBS and will provide you with a free VBS  Planning Checklist that makes preparing for the VBS and hosting the CEF team simple and  straightforward. CEF of Montana will also provide you with free promotional material that  your church can use to promote your VBS.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Is the church responsible for doing background checks?

CEF of Montana requires the church we are partnering with for the VBS to follow CEF of  Montana’s Child Protection Policy. This means that volunteer, over the age of 18, who  participates in the VBS must complete a background check. We work hard to make sure  that this process is as simple as possible for the church to complete. Your ministry  coordinator from CEF of Montana will provide you with further information on our  background check requirements and the background check process.

How much will this cost my church?

CEF of Montana does not charge for the VBS program or the team. We do ask the church to  provide housing & food for our team during the VBS. If a church chooses to add a craft time  to the VBS, the church is responsible for purchasing the materials for the crafts.

What size team do you bring for the VBS?

A typical VBS team from CEF of Montana consists of 1 adult leader and 2-4 teens.

How can CEF provide this ministry for free?

We believe God provides funding for His ministry. We pray that God will give us  opportunities to share with churches and individuals about what God is doing through CEF  of Montana, and we trust that God’s people and churches to give to this ministry as He leads them.
